Ellis Allen Roseberry - Southwest Times
Jan 15, 2019Friday morning Jan. 11, 2019 at LewisGale Hospital–Pulaski.He was born at the Roseberry home-place on Oct. 29, 1929, and was the son of the late Bertha Farmer Roseberry and William M. Roseberry. Ellis was retired from Burlington Industries with 42 years of service and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a lifelong owner/operator of Roseberry Campground at Claytor Lake for 50 years. He was also a life-long member of Mt. View United Methodist Church.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Joann Phipps Roseberry; and sisters, Berlyn Myra Roseberry, Elizabeth Roseberry, Gladys Bratton, and brothers, Clifton Roseberry, Emory Roseberry and Gerald G. Roseberry.He is survived by his only son, Allen Roseberry; three grandchildren, Nathan (Whitney) Roseberry, Nikki (Ryan) Smith, and Natalee (Brian) Garrett; great-grandchildren, Emersyn and Quinlee Smith, along with multiple nieces and nephews.Funeral services are Monday, Jan. 14, 2 p.m., at Mt. View United Methodist Church. Interment follows in Mt. View Cemetery, with military honors.
